Every year, thousands of motorcyclists and motorcycle enthusiasts gather along the Grand Strand for two different bike rallies during the month of May. What better time to plan a spring vacation in North Myrtle Beach? Excitement fills the air, the weather is mild and pleasant and the ocean warm and inviting.
Myrtle Beach Bike Week, sponsored by Myrtle Beach Harley Davidson, is one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the entire country. For over 65 years, motorcyclists have brought their bikes to the beach for a memorable North Myrtle Beach vacation that includes live music, stunt shows and plenty of time to devote to riding the countryside. The festival-like atmosphere lasts about 10 days and incorporates two separate weekends of fun. Area businesses welcome the participants of Myrtle Beach Bike Week.
The spring bike rally is a popular feature on the Myrtle Beach area calendar. Hotels, condos and beach houses quickly fill up as the time for Bike Week rolls around.

Don’t be surprised to see celebrities as they make special appearances at any number of Myrtle Beach area motorcycle rally venues. And live concerts are on the agenda at nearly every restaurant, bar and amusement. You’ll find something to spark your interest from one end of the Grand Strand to the other, 60 miles of activities and entertainment are lined up all along the beach.
The Atlantic Beach Bike Festival, headquartered in Atlantic Beach, is located between Windy Hill and Crescent Beach Sections of North Myrtle Beach. This is the largest Black Bike Festival in the world, with over 300,000 attendees. Each Memorial Day Weekend, bikers from all over the country make the trek to North Myrtle Beach for fun, food, festivities and camaraderie. Again, market “cities” with everything to offer, special events and parties abound during this five day weekend event. Activities center around North Myrtle Beach and Atlantic Beach but spread out along the entire Grand Strand. The rally which began in 1980 has continued to grow and mature into an event that many spend the entire year waiting to attend.
