The father of the groom is struggling to devise the perfect toast to celebrate his soon-to-be-married son. Myrtle Beach Bike Week, traditionally held the second week of May, will be May 11-20, 2012. However, the Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson slated its Cruisin’ the Coast Spring Rally for May 18-28, 2012, overlapping both the original rally and the Atlantic Beach Bikefest, known as Black Bike Week, which is Memorial Day weekend. The area is going to be hoping during these events!

Also taking place that week is Mayfest On Main. This concert is held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. Come enjoy a free concert by Night Ranger, featuring Project 7VEN, the world’s greatest funk band and backup band for The Bar-Kays and Dazz Band. Special guest stars The Mighty Mighty Tams. Plenty of Water Sports Here

If you’re coming to coastal South Carolina to enjoy the water sports know that the ocean isn’t as warm as it will be. Some come prepared and go out and play in the waves but it’s not for everyone. Most people wait until summer when it warms up a bit more. There are water sports you can enjoy when you stay in our North Myrtle Beach resorts. We have swimming pools and a lazy river, hot tubs and Jacuzzis here.

Some people come to fish, others to jet ski, some to surf, swim or just hang out on the beach. If you don’t feel like going dining out, no worries, you have a well-equipped kitchen right in your rental. You can take your lucky catch-of-the-day and cook it yourself right there in the kitchen of these North Myrtle Beach resorts.

If you want to try out a boat rental check out Myrtle Beach Watersports, not far from our North Myrtle Beach resorts. They have been in business since 1996 and rent boats and other water sport gear at their 5 locations, from Little River to Murrells Inlet.

Jet ski rentals and guided jet ski dolphin tours are available at the North Myrtle Beach and Little River locations. Pontoon boats are available that you can take out on the Intracoastal Waterway. The North Myrtle Beach location is also home to the world’s largest speed boat, the Sea Screamer, which is good for a 2-hour dolphin cruise off the coast.

Golfers across the country are excited to hit the greens now that spring is here. The weather is beautiful this time of year as the heat of summer has not arrived. There are still less crowded conditions and the courses are beautifully manicured. The two best reasons for playing now are weather and price. The Memorial, located at Morse Park Landing, was established by the family of Johnny Brown, a 38-year old Murrells Inlet commercial fisherman who was lost at sea in 2005. All the people, whose names are etched on the monument, will be remembered at the ceremony.
