St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

With parades, festivals and dances from one end of the Grand Strand to the other, it will be hard to pick and choose just what you want to be a part of. Ocean Boulevard’s 2012 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 12 noon until 12 midnight in downtown Myrtle Beach, SC. Come enjoy the music, fun and authentic Irish food and beverage. Activities include live performances, a Pier to Pier race, kids’ zone, games and more. On Saturday, March 17 the 3rd Annual Irish Fest at The Market Common will be in Valor Park, not far from our North Myrtle Beach accommodations. Festivities include Irish food, beer, entertainment and kids’ activities. Held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will be on Saturday, March 17 beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting until 4 p.m. The parade is touted as the largest on the Grand Strand with more than 100 entries. After the parade, Main Street in North Myrtle Beach comes to life with this annual festival. At the end of Main Street is a festival you will not want to miss. Over 125 vendors will display their arts and crafts. Food vendors and Main Street businesses will have a variety of treats for everyone to enjoy. Two stages of continuous live entertainment will keep the Irish spirit in you all day. The children’s area will be chocked full of rides and games for all ages.

Grand Strand Beach Ballroom Social Dance on Saturday, March 17 from 7-10 p.m. at the Grand Strand Senior Center, 1268 21st. Ave. North, Myrtle Beach, SC. It’s a “St. Patrick’s Dance” with beverages, decorations provided and music by the fun Harlequin duo. Tickets are $7 available at Senior Center or 903-3765.
