The 2011 Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art provides both visual and performing arts. Performing acts include Spyro Gyra, The Kickin Grass Band, Ball in the House, David Osborne Trio, The Hit Men. Visual arts include a Film Festival, Chalk Under the Oaks, a Gallery Crawl, and a performance by the Bits ‘N Pieces Puppet Theater.

On October 6, 2011 The President’s Own United States Marine Band performs at 7:30 p.m. at Myrtle Beach High School.

Additionally, on October 8, 2011 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. the Shrimp and Jazz Festival will be held on the
 Waterfront in Little River, SC. Definitely worth checking that out!
