For those of you that enjoy seafood — and who doesn’t — there are a couple events on Saturday that will provide you with tasty meals.
Come out and enjoy a good old Southern Fish Fry. The African American Community Coalition is sponsoring their annual fish fry Saturday, November 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Grab a heaping to-go box of fish and grits or fries with slaw. They will be set up at the Belin UMC extra parking lot on Business 17. Fish fry costs $8.00 per box. Call 843-421-6013 for more information.
You may also want to attend the 9th Annual Murrells Inlet Oyster Roast on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. This annual event is a favorite of both locals and visitors. Oyster-eaters will enjoy the all-you-can-eat afternoon feast of steamed oysters. A menu of other food items (burgers, dogs, chowder, wings and more), beer and soda will be available and are separately priced. Free admission. There will also be entertainment to enjoy. This event is held rain or shine. Bring an oyster knife or buy one at the roast. Call 843-357-2007 for more information.
To get you in the mood for the holidays there’s nothing better than a concert. The Serendipity Singers Holiday Concert is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, at Belin United Methodist Church, 4183 Hwy 17 Business, Murrells Inlet. Admission is free and the public is invited. Doors open at 2:00 p.m.
