Come Enjoy a Southern Fish Fry

For those of you that enjoy seafood — and who doesn’t — there are a couple events on Saturday that will provide you with tasty meals.

The African American Community Coalition is sponsoring their annual fish fry Saturday, November 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Grab a heaping to-go box of fish and grits or fries with slaw. They will be set up at the Belin UMC extra parking lot on Business 17. Fish fry costs $8.00 per box. Call 843-421-6013 for more information.

You may also want to attend the 9th Annual Murrells Inlet Oyster Roast on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. This annual event is a favorite of both locals and visitors. Oyster-eaters will enjoy the all-you-can-eat afternoon feast of steamed oysters. Great news for Myrtle Beach International Airport!

Consider this in your upcoming search for Myrtle Beach travel information: Myrtle Beach International Airport is now operating on a new scale! For all those flying into MYR, welcome to an improved facility that will allow you to get in and out of the airport in a breeze.

The new entrance and waiting area offers a more stress-free option to accessing the airport grounds. Visitors will no longer have to wait for their ride at the terminal pick up/drop off location as a new parking lot has been built in order to lessen the amount of traffic that comes with the amount of people arriving at the airport.

Also, Myrtle Beach International Airport has been listed as having the lowest rates in the state of South Carolina! According to US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).   BTS reported for year-ending 2011, the average air fare at MYR was $268. MYR is the only SC airport having average air fares less than the national average of $364.  For the fourth consecutive year MYR has had the lowest average airfare in South Carolina.

Handicapped Parking will be available at the corner of Lakeside Drive and Riverview.
