Myrtle Beach Golf Course
Azalea Sands Golf Course
Course Description
Designed by architect Gene Hamm, this classic North Myrtle Beach course offers golfers of all skill levels a challenging, yet “player friendly” experience.
Its unique, open design offers wide fairways, well-bunkered greens and strategically placed water hazards, that are sure to test your shot-making abilities. The course’s signature hole is #5, a 195-yard, par 3, requiring a shot over a lake to a bunkered green.
Since its opening in 1972, Azalea Sands has been a popular course among new and returning golfers. Azalea Sands is described by many of its players as a fun, affordable course that can be played in a 3 to 4 hour time period.
Conveniently located on Highway 17 in downtown North Myrtle Beach, less than a mile from the ocean, Azalea Sands Golf Course is easy to find and makes a great 1st day of play venue.
