Myrtle Beach Golf Course
Blackmoor Golf Course

Course Description

You'll admire the incredible beauty of Blackmoor. The course was built on the historic Longwood Plantation, whose heritage as a successful ante-bellum rice plantation along the majestic Waccamaw River accounts for much of its charm. The 18 championship holes exist in harmony with flowing lakes, moss-draped oaks, lofty pines, and the ever changing cypress. The scenic lay of the land is not all you'll capture. The sensation of catching a glimpse of a wild turkey, graceful deer, or alligator will take your breath away.

The mood at Blackmoor is so tranquil and the atmosphere so serene that you'll marvel at the conversation among the inhabitant birds and the echoing breeze as it travels down the river. Experiencing Blackmoor is more than just playing a round of golf, it is revitalization to the senses. The maintenance of the fairways and greens is as magnificent as the surroundings. The superintendent exhibits great pride in grooming the Tift Dwarf Bermuda greens and 419 Bermuda fairways. Attention to detail is noticeable from tee to green. For cold weather play, the course is kept green from tree line to tree line to give a refreshing view for those from snow covered northern climates. Unparalleled fairways focuses your attention on one hole at a time. However, be sure to study the course layout, since several blind shots to the green will challenge your perception.
