Many people that made New Year’s resolutions to get fit and live a healthier lifestyle have been training for the upcoming 2013 Myrtle Beach Marathon. The event is being held February 14-16, 2013 in Myrtle Beach. If you haven’t made your reservations for a place to stay we recommend you check out our North Myrtle Beach condo rentals. Runners planning on attending the upcoming marathon will have their choice of competing in a full marathon, half marathon, 5K, family fun run or crank-chair race. Packets can be picked up at the Runner’s Expo on Thursday or Friday, 2/14/13 or 2/15/13. There will be no Race Day packet pickup for the marathon.
The Runner’s Expo and Race Headquarters will be at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 21 Ave N Oak Street, Myrtle Beach, SC. Hours are 5-9 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 14 and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 15.
Stick around for the weekend and you’ll be able to enjoy parties and take advantage of the special discounts for runners. The House of Blues on Hwy 17 N, North Myrtle Beach will hold a Post Race Party on Saturday, Feb. 16. This event is free to all registered participants and all volunteers of any marathon weekend event . ($20 for guests and non-participants. Tickets will be available at the Expo and must be picked up in advance in order to be admitted to the event.) Free food and refreshments will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. Entertainment will also be provided. Party restricted to ages 21 and over. All awards and trophies will be available for pickup at the Post Race Party.
