Each year, thousands of visitors flock to North Myrtle Beach for our sandy shores, pristine beaches, and gorgeous weather. Although the beach is the main attraction and provides hours of fun, there are plenty of other family friendly attractions in the area that are definitely worth your time. Take a break from the sand and salt and head to Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach’s premier one stop shop for entertainment, shopping, dining, and more!

Family fun is easy to find at Barefoot Landing and there is something for visitors of all ages. Take a ride on the wild side at Alligator Adventure or get up close and personal with cubs at the TIGER Preservation Station. Get lost at the Mirror Maze or engage your senses at the 7D Cinema where you can feel, see, hear, and even smell every effect in short films. Little ones aren’t left out either and will love taking a ride on the Barefoot Carousel or cooling off at the Coca Cola Cool Zone.

If live entertainment is what you are looking for – Barefoot Landing has that too! The Myrtle Beach House of Blues attracts performers from all over the nation, like the Counting Crows and Darius Rucker -to name a few, that always put on a great show. In addition, they host events all year long, like their weekly Murder Mystery Theatre and an upcoming brew-a-palooza. Alabama Theatre is another popular venue that knows how to put on a show. This season, the theatre is featuring “One – The New Show”, a musical journey full of laughter, song, and dance. The theater also puts on an annual Christmas show known as “The South’s Grandest Christmas Show” that is a favorite among visitors and locals alike.

Once you have had your fill of fun, refuel at one of Barefoot’s popular restaurants. Succulent seafood can be found at Joe’s Crab shack and Flying Fish Public Market & Grill. For hearty steaks, try T Bonz Grill or Greg Norman’s Australian Grille or, for a juicy burger, try River City Café, a local favorite. If you are seeking something a little more casual, enjoy fall of the bone tender BBQ at Smokin’ Hot Southwest Grill or finger licking good wings at Wild Wing Café. Fire Island Grill is another favorite spot that combines fresh seafood and steaks with a tropical flare. With such eclectic variety, you are sure to find something to please even the most selective palette.

Before you head home, be sure to grab some souvenirs at one of Barefoot Landing’s shops. With a mix of popular national retailers and unique local shops, you can find everything from jewelry and accessories to apparel and gifts. Bijuju is a popular spot for women’s accessories and you can find the perfect set of pearly whites at Southern Pearls. Check out specialty food products at the Barefoot General Store or find that perfect piece of personalized jewelry at Black Market Minerals. Francesca’s Collections, Izod, and White House | Black Market are a few of the national names you can look forward to seeing as well. From hats to shoes and everything in between – you can find it all at Barefoot Landing!

It’s not hard to see why Barefoot Landing is a popular place for families and couples who come to the North Myrtle Beach area. Lucky for you, Tilghman Resort is just a short drive up the highway from this exciting venue, making it easy for you to take a break from the beach and enjoy quality family time together.
