North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex

The North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex is new for 2014 and offers the perfect place to take a break from the salt and the sand. This pristine facility boasts several sports fields, two spacious new playgrounds, clean picnic areas, dog parks where you can bring your furry friends and plenty of green space for playtime. The sports complex also offers an indoor event facility that is home to a wide array of exciting events throughout the year in addition to an outdoor amphitheatre that hosts concerts and other events seasonally. This new Cherry Grove addition is conveniently located in close proximity to Tilghman Resort and is the perfect place to spend an afternoon enjoying the gorgeous Myrtle Beach weather!

 

Hollywood Wax Museum

Looking for something totally different? Or, perhaps you are looking to escape a rare rainy day at the beach? Gather your clan and head south to Broadway at the Beach to check out the brand new Hollywood Wax Museum! This enticing new addition to the area is actually three exciting attractions all under one room. Guests can take pictures with all of their favorite idols, including favorites like Michael Jackson, Johnny Depp, and even Elvis Presley at main attraction, the wax museum. After that, make your way through a zombie apocalypse at Outbreak or attempt to find your way through a challenging mirror maze at Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors. Guests can purchase all three attractions at once or separately. The Hollywood Wax Museum is open throughout the year from 9am –  10pm, though hours do vary seasonally. Tilghman Pool Bar & Grill

Whether you are worn from a busy day at the beach or just want to grab a refreshing drink poolside, the Tilghman Pool Bar & Grill is the ideal place to relax and refuel. Located on-site here at Tilghman, this recent addition is quickly becoming a guest favorite! Classic beach fare is what you can expect here and the extensive menu is sure to appeal to even the pickiest palettes. Start with favorites like the Coconut Shrimp, Nachos piled high with all of your favorite toppings, or Wings available in over 10 flavors. For the main event, dig into beach favorites like burgers, hotdogs, or a fresh seafood basket or nosh on lighter fare like a salad, sandwich, or wrap. The Tilghman Pool Bar & Grill also serves up all of your favorite beverages to help you keep cool.  

 

Flounders Fish House

This new Cherry Grove Beach eatery is quickly becoming a favorite among visitors and locals alike! As the name suggests, fresh seafood is the main attraction of this restaurant which boasts an extensive local selection. Get started in true southern style with an order of the Fried Green Tomatoes or indulge in the famous Cherry Grove Crab Balls. Entrée selections include an array of platters, steaks, sandwiches, salads, and succulent sides. They also offer a wide array of specialty flounder dishes that are sure to hit the spot. Boom Boom Wine Room

Wine aficionados and neophytes alike are sure to appreciate the unique atmosphere and upscale cuisine offered at Boom Boom Wine Room. This new restaurant offers a completely new concept to the area that can’t be found anywhere else! Guests are invited to try 1oz, 3oz, or 5oz samples from wine around the globe that has been hand selected by the sommelier. The menu offers an array of small plates and tapas selections that are designed with the wine in mind and pair perfectly with the seasonal selections. Though the menu varies, favorites include Baked Lamb and Pork Meatballs, Panzanella Salad, Charcuterie and Preserves Plates, and decadent handmade desserts. Co Sushi

Craving fresh sushi or fare with an Asian flare? Look no farther than Co Sushi! Though Co’s location at Market Common makes it a bit of a drive from Tilghman, we promise that the travel is well worth it. The fresh, creative menu offers the absolute best sushi at the beach. Dig in to favorites like the Spider Roll, which offers tempura crab, avocado, yamgobo, cucumber, and a house eel sauce or try something new with one of the original “pressed” sushi rolls. Not a fan of the raw stuff? Co Sushi also offers plenty of cooked rolls or other Asian delights like pho, dumplings, pad thai, curry, and even fresh ceviche.
