Fall Migration is soon approaching and we’re just wondering…..are you ready to put on your blue suede shoes?!
This season, your chance to shag the night away is right around the corner with the 2014 S.O.S Fall Migration. Twice a year, S.O.S., also known as the “Society of Stranders” gather together to share stories about past events and of course, dance! From September 12th – September 21st, shaggers meet at the intersection of Ocean Drive and Main Street for 10 days full of events, classes, workshops and just an all-around great time! Just blocks up from Tilghman Beach & Golf Resort is where it all happens as the clubs and lounges that host many of the events are nestled together in one cluster so you can hop from one place to another! The S.O.S. clubs and lounges include OD Arcade Duck’s I & II, Pirate’s Cove and others at the Ocean Drive Beach & Golf Resort. Merchandise vendors, food and drink vendors, & displays are all set up by the SOS sponsors.
Prepare to join in on the fun and stay at Tilghman if you’re going to be around for more than just the weekend! September 13th and 14th are two of the biggest days of the Fall Migration, known as Fun Sunday and Fun Monday gather together for one of the biggest block parties known to the area. Popular bands and the hottest performers and DJs in beach & shag music are here for the celebration and so what better way to party all night than have a place that is suited like home where you can chill and relax during the day? After resting up from all the dancing, retreat to one of our two or three bedroom condominiums that speak to the epitome of being in a North Myrtle Beach resort. Rest up then take to the balcony for some sun and its still warm outside so head to the pool for an afternoon swim. Inside, you can catch up on your favorite shows or watch some of the newest titles here through our free DVD rental program!
This is an event that is beginning to take the lead with all ages as even the junior shaggers are starting to make their way up to the Grand Strand. With music all the way from the start of beach music to today’s hits, Fall Migration is the perfect time to eat, drink and be merry.
