La Belle Amie Vineyard, an operating vineyard open to the public, is located in Little River. The Vineyard is a popular attraction for visitors to our wonderful beaches and they host many popular festivals throughout the year. You can tour the beautiful Vineyard and guests are also invited into the wine tasting room to sample their private label wines and a variety of specialty finishing & dipping sauces, dressings, mustards & more.
The entrance road leading to the tasting room and gift shop winds past vineyard #1, an old tobacco barn, and the duck pond. Families, buses and tour groups are welcome, and picnic areas are provided. The vineyard is part of a former tobacco plantation that has been owned by the Bellamy family since the 1800’s. La Belle Amie, meaning “the beautiful friend,” is the European origin of the family name.

A visit to Duplin Winery is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Tours and tastings consist of a visit to their state-of-the-art wine production facility, a seat in one of their tasting rooms, and a relaxed atmosphere to browse the gift shop. Every member of the Duplin Winery family is well trained, professional, and excited to share a guided tour. A leisurely indoor stroll through the largest production facility on the East Coast, boasting a 1.5 million gallon capacity, is sure to impress. From the crushing pad to the bottling line, each guest will see firsthand the process behind the production of award-winning wines. The production tour has some stops and starts and lasts about 30 minutes. Back in the retail store, the tour culminates with a first-class wine tasting where guests are treated to over a dozen samples. Educational and fun, visitors will learn about the nuances of sampling wines which include the 5 S’s of wine tasting: sight, smell, swirls, sip, and savor. Every guest will leave the tasting room with a newly found appreciation of wine. The daily tours begin at 11 AM, and with a new tour offered at the top of every hour. Carolina Vineyards winery is a real working winery that produces wine from many state grown fruits. They produce DRY, SEMI-DRY, MEDIUM and SWEET wines. Most of their Dry wines are varietal grape while most of their sweet wines are fruit. The tasting room is open 7 days a week and almost every day of the year. They do have seasonal closing hours but they always open at 10 AM. All of their wines are available for tasting. They always try to provide a warm friendly atmosphere for your pleasure and enjoyment.
