Employee Spotlight – ????

Can you guess who we are shining our Employee Spotlight on this week?

If you have visited Tilghman Beach and Golf Resort any time in the last 3 years you’ll have no trouble putting a name to this spunky baby face!
If you guessed Lace Alvarado, our Assistant General Manager, you are absolutely correct! This kooky kiddo grew up in the woods of Maine, getting all the fresh air she could on frequent camping and canoe trips. The northeast held onto Lace for 27 years but then she spread her wings in search of warmer pastures. Initially Lace and her four legged sidekick Mellie, headed west, with thoughts of making a home in Colorado. Soon enough they realized that a landlocked life was not their style. They made their way back to our coastline and have called South Carolina home for the past 10 years.
Lace landed here in Horry County with both managerial and hospitality experience under her belt. She has worked her way up the ranks from a front desk associate and has certainly proven, in her time at Tilghman, that she is truly an asset to any team she is a part of.
Outside of the office, Lace has not lost her love of nature and often visits the local state parks and preserves with her 3 children and Mellie, who is now 15 years old. Thankfully her husband is a landscaper to compensate for her lack of a green thumb. Lace is a diehard New England Patriots fan and has been known to binge Gilmore Girls on Netflix or read during the off-season. For any of you looking for book suggestions, Lace just finished Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult and highly recommends it!
When it comes to personal mission statements Lace is currently focusing on not sweating the small staff and the concept of “progress over perfection” in her personal life. Don’t let her northern sharp wit fool you, Lace has been known to refer to the members of the front desk staff her “chickadees” and lets her spunky inner child out towards those she holds closest to her heart.
