Ring in the New Year in style with Tilghman Beach and Golf Resort

Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach is one of the most popular party destinations in Myrtle Beach year round, and New Year’s Eve is no exception!  The night begins with fireworks at 8 p.m. and continues until the early hours of the morning.  Many of the night clubs and bars will be hosting complimentary champagne toasts, balloon drops and the live feed from Times Square.  Also located at Broadway at the Beach, the new location of Hard Rock Café will be hosting a Rock N’ Roll New Year’s Eve bash with tickets ranging in price from $30 to $250 per couple for a night of food, drinks, dancing and a guaranteed rockin’ good time!  The party goes from 9:45 p.m. until 2a.m. For more information events taking place in and around Broadway at the Beach please visit Broadway’s website for more information on the biggest party in town.

Barefoot Landing is also host to fireworks, festivities and more to ring in 2017!  The breathtaking firework display over the water is set to begin at 6 p.m.  From there we recommend you head over to Castano’s Italian Steakhouse.   They will offer a limited menu, complimentary glass of champagne, live entertainment, party favors and a balloon drop.  Another hot spot that goes the extra mile to close out the year is the House of Blues.  The night at HOB begins with a four course dinner, followed by a dance party that won’t stop until way after the ball drops.  Enjoy the evening for $84.95 per person which includes tax, gratuity, dinner, drinks, party favors and vouchers for free and discounted tickets to use in the year ahead.

If a night full of family fun is what you are looking for, the Market Common will be hosting their third annual A Southern Times Square starting at 7 p.m. This free event will offer two stages of live music, a beer garden, street entertainment and vendors as well as a specially designated children’s area. At midnight a ball drop and fireworks display will usher in the New Year.

Legends in Concert will be pushing back the start time of their extraordinary holiday show to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve so that guests can ring in the start of 2017 with tributes to their favorite performers.  At midnight the video screens lining the stage will switch to a live feed of the ball drop in Times Square and a complimentary toast for all!

When an early, beautiful and low-key evening is what you are after, Brookgreen Gardens invites you to their Garden by Candlelight pre-party.  The sculpture garden is illuminated by candlelight, and features hand-lit candles, holiday lights and decor, as well as strolling musicians.  Held from 6-9pm, advance reservations are required. Tickets are $20 for non-members and $15 for members.

Another wonderful way to spend the afternoon of the 31st is to attend the New Year’s Bonfire at La Belle Amie Vineyard in nearby Little River.  Enjoy barbeque, beverages and the musical stylings of the Fat Jack Duo while gathered around a cozy outdoor fire pit from noon until 5p.m.

The Big “M” Casino Ship in Little River invites you to ring in the New Year aboard their Ship I.  The evening includes an all-you-can-eat buffet with hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, DJ entertainment, complimentary drinks while gambling, and champagne toast at midnight.  Boarding begins at 5:30 p.m., sailing at 6:30 p.m. and the ship will return at 12:30 a.m. Tickets are $75 per person and must be purchased in advance.

710 Bowling is another choice spot to enjoy bowling, dinner, a ball drop, breakfast and more.  The evening includes a full prime rib dinner buffet, unlimited bowling from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.  They also are featuring a package that includes bowling, breakfast and a ball drop where you can enjoy unlimited bowling from 10 p.m.-2 a.m., a full breakfast buffet at 12:30 a.m. and a live DJ and champagne toast. Myrtle Beach, being the choice destination for family vacations, also hosts many venues offering children the opportunity to party the night away as well!  Ripley’s Aquarium will host a Kids New Year’s Eve Sleepover.  Drop off kids ages 6 to 14 for a kids only party from Dec 31 8 p.m. until January 1 8 a.m. Tickets are $49.99+tax per child. The night includes karaoke, crafts, pizza, movies, music, dancing, ball top, a non-alcoholic toast at midnight and a live simulcast from Times Square. Reservations are required.

Fun Warehouse is hosting a New Year’s Eve All Night Skate. The night includes unlimited skating, 1 game of laser tag, a slice of pizza, a drink and breakfast. The event is from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Admission is $25 and all members of the family are welcome to attend.

For those who are unable to stay up late the Children’s Museum of South Carolina will be holding a Noon Year’s Eve celebration. The event includes confetti cannons, games, music, art activities and more as well as access to all of their museum exhibits. Doors to this event will open at 9 a.m. and all special activities are included with regular admission.
