35th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Welcome to North Myrtle Beach, where a vibrant sea of green awaits you! Experience the excitement of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the largest on the Grand Strand, boasting over 100 parade entries and a rich history of enjoyment. Crowds gather along Main Street annually, eager to witness this enchanting spectacle. The parade kicks off promptly at 9:00 AM, so be sure to secure your spot by 8:30 AM with your loved ones, beach chairs, blankets, and golf carts. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable two-hour event!
Leprechaun Contest/ Jr. Leprechaun Contest
Display your affection for everything Irish by participating in the 35th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival Leprechaun Contest. Entrants will be evaluated based on their originality, creativity, appearance, enthusiasm, and energy. Register at the information booth or the Irish Stage before 2:00 pm, and the contest will commence at 2:30 pm at the Irish stage.
Shepherd’s Pie Eating Contest
First to clear their plate (without using their hands) wins an awesome plaque and gift card. Sign up at the information booth or the Irish stage before 2:00 pm. Contest will be at the Irish stage at 2:30 pm.

Traffic Information
The parade staging and lineup will take place at 7:00 AM on Ocean Boulevard between 2nd Avenue North and 11th Avenue North.
From 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the southbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard will be closed to traffic from 11th Avenue North to 1st Avenue South. Additionally, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, both southbound and northbound lanes will be closed from 2nd Avenue North to 1st Avenue South.
Main Street will be closed from Ash Street to Ocean Boulevard between 5:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Access from Main Street to Ocean Boulevard will be restricted from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM for the parade. After the parade, Main Street from Ash Street to Ocean Boulevard will transition into a festival area until 6:00 PM.
The parade will begin at 9:00 AM. Ocean Boulevard will remain open to traffic until 8:30 AM and is expected to reopen around 11:30 AM, immediately following the parade.
