(Q – Interviewer, T – Tom)
Q: Thanks for doing this interview with us Tom….so tell us a little bit about yourself….
T: No problem….glad someone was thinking of me! So I’m from a little town called Freemont, Ohio which is just an hour or so outside of Cleveland.
Q: Do you have family?
T: Yes I do but my wife just moved here. I’ve been married for 25 years and I have two kids and one grandchild. I moved here first while my wife wrapped up our business back in Fremont.
Q: Ah….so you owned a business? What did you do?
T: Well we owned a body shop. I’ve beeb working on cars for as long as I can remember. Once deciding to move to the beach, I made the move first while my wife finalized things back in Ohio. Now she is here with me and we’re both enjoying the beach way more than we’ve ever had!
Q: What influenced you to come to Myrtle Beach?
T: We’ve been down here several times for vacation and every time I always wondered what it would be like to have a job near the beach….so once I had it in my mind to do it, me and my wife talked about it and she was all in so I started putting in for jobs and luckily I came across that for Tilghman. So far everything has been on the up and up since and we’re very happy that we made this decision.
Q: Wow, how awesome is that?! We’re glad you made the decision too, you’re a great guy. So what do you like to do when you’re not working at Tilghman?
T: Besides going to the beach? Going to the beach, going to the beach and going to the beach (smiles). I also like working in the yard and I play the guitar also.
Q: You’re going to have to play for us some time! Last thing, what do you like most about working at Tilghman?
T: The people here are really a hoot. There is great energy and everyone seems to love their job so it makes it easier for me to enjoy my time here. I also like being able to work independently so when I’m on the job I have time to think and actually commit to the duty I am responsible for.
Q: Well that says it all. Tom, we appreciate you for being a person we’ve come to rely on. We want all of our guests, both past and future to know what kind of people are working on our team. Thanks again!
T: Thank you!
